Allowing character to shine through
We were delighted and honoured to be involved in a project for The Three Acres, a very high-end fine dining and well-regarded restaurant and hotel in Huddersfield.
It sits in the middle of the picturesque Yorkshire countryside on top of a hill and very near the 329metre high Emley Moor TV transmitting mast, a well-known local landmark.
A lovely old building, both inside and out, The Three Acres looked every inch a typical, characterful Yorkshire country pub – except for the very bland entrance. And we all know how first impressions count for so much!
The brief was to provide an open porch with a main disabled-friendly entrance, including a reception area and desk
We knew from the beginning that this project would be challenging because various buildings with different roof styles converged on the corner where the new porch would sit.
But with the brilliant help of architects from the One17 Design team, together we created a design which solved those problems while perfectly collating the brief we had been given.
OAK FRAMES ADD TO THE PRESTIGE OF THIS FAMOUS EATERY. THE FINISHED PRODUCT HAS TRANSFORMED THE BUILDING, ADDING CHARACTER AND A NEW LEASE OF LIFE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS' EXPERIENCE
A large dining table is sited in this frame and now many customers ask to sit there so they can drink in the beauty of the oak frame while gazing out to the stunning countryside views.
We have received so many enquiries and referrals from visitors to The Three Acres that is obvious both we and the restaurant have benefited greatly from this project.
And we are absolutely delighted to see that much of the marketing used by Tom at The Three Acres team is centred around our frames.
